The Sanctuary of Mentorella was founded 1,800 years ago and is located high in the Italian mountains about 40 kilometers south of Rome. It afforded the Monastery protection against Barbarians. It was first dedicated in 335 AD and has undergone many restorations. Acrylic on canvas 36” x 48” 2017
